NASTAR Racing

Its a beautiful windy day here on Snowmass. Gusts of 30 to 40 mph make the mid 60's temps feel a bit cooler.  The snow is still slush, a cosistency that makes those who ski it smile with glee. Spring skiing is like nothing else, a wet endevour for sure, but so much fun.

Fresh

Here it goes... That feeling of sheer wonder, as the world throws you suprise after adventure in a daily manner.  I have finished training, paperwork, travel, interview, and procuring equiptment- and I am ready for the next five months of winter wonder.  Snowmass is the largest of the 4-mountains accessed by Aspen Ski Co., and currently has upwards of 1700 available acres( over 3000 at peak season). In addition, they recently found  mammoth, mastodon, and giant ground sloth bones in a ancient lake/future reservoir site near Snowmass Village. (shred that down your pipe Vail) The weather has been great and the life of a Guest Services employee is, well, wonderful. I have been getting this giddy feeling the past few weeks as I ski on my multiple hour break each day. Fresh powder in the forcast for tomorrow so I am forgoing a night out in Apsen to rest up for some siiiiiiick turns tomorrow. My wallet is thanking me. More to come-ideally more pictures than paragraphs.
